Looking to keep pace in the conference title race, the Lady Macks (6-3, 4-2 Western Cloverbelt Conference) headed north to face the Blackhawks (7-7, 2-3 WCC) for the second time in 2025.
In a competitive contest, McDonell scored at least one run in every inning but the second, slowly pulling away from Bloomer and earning the season sweep.
Junior Keagan Winger stayed hot at the plate, collecting three hits, and senior Kiara Leinenkugel drove in two runs while slugging a pair of doubles.
The Lady Cards (6-4, 6-1) overcame the 12-strikeout pitching of Rice Lake (7-8, 2-5) senior Kamryn Kunz on their way to a 4-1 win.
The Cards plated 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd, two of which scored on a double from sophomore, Laney Henkelmann. Later the Cards got some insurance in the 6th on sophomore Delaney Bero's first varsity HR, as she blasted one over the LF fence.
Though she lost her shutout in the 7th, sophomore pitcher, Violet McIlquham, turned in another gem, striking out 10 and walking only two in securing the complete game win.
